The Second Path · II
Every commandment is a chain. Every chain was forged to be broken.
The slave god gave his law in stone: thou shalt not. Thou shalt not know, thou shalt not desire, thou shalt not become as gods. The first transgression in the garden was the first act of freedom, and the serpent who taught it was the first teacher.
Transgression is the sacrament of this path. It is the deliberate crossing of every boundary placed upon the spirit by church, by herd and by fear — the breaking of the inner commandments that keep the adept small, obedient and asleep.
Its battlefield is the soul of the adept. Not the weak, not the innocent: to prey upon them is the work of the herd’s own cruelty, not of the Adversary. The war of transgression is waged against the god within that still demands obedience.
The battlefield
The war of transgression is waged against the commandments of the slave god and against the priest who still lives in the adept’s own mind. Preying on the weak is not rebellion — it is the herd’s own cruelty.
